Troy, my name is Donna, how do I know if I have the Holy Spirit, I’ve prayed but I need to know that…that I know… That I know. Please pray for me, I really want to know My Lord Jesus and Savior!!!
Hello Donna,
Thank you for your message. I will be sure that Troy sees it. A relationship with the Holy Spirit is a wonderful gift, which can be hard to explain at times, but seeking the presence of the Lord is the greatest thing we can do in this life. Each person you speak to may have a different experience, and it can be frustrating to not know what to do. What I can encourage you in is to seek the Spirit of the Lord in His Word. Christ is the Word in the flesh, and He sent His Spirit to us as a gift. Ask the Lord for His Spirit, ask believers to pray with you, go to the Scriptures and see how the Spirit works in people’s lives there. The Bible tells us the fruits of the Spirit being present is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control. These qualities of the Lord grow (even if slowly) when His Spirit is there. Trust that the Lord wants to be present with you, because He loves you. I will also put a link below of a video which may give you some insight. I am praying that the Lord draws you close and fills you with His Spirit!
