When you’re in a fight, you don’t turn your back to the enemy. As soon as your back is turned, they can make a clean strike.
The 2020 U.S. Election Season Divided Us
After the election in November of 2020, some of us as members of the body of Christ turned our backs. We stopped facing the devil and we started facing each other.
I heard a word from the Holy Spirit on the day I’m writing this. He simply said, “I’ve called you during this hour to unite prophetic voices in a way they’ve never been united before.”
I’m not going to make an argument for who is right and who is not. Instead, the Lord is leading me to make an argument for unity despite our differences of belief.
Jesus says in Matthew 5:23-24 (NASB), “Therefore, if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.”
Our fellow believers are our brothers and sisters in Christ. Many opportunities for offense have arisen since the 2020 election and forgiveness has happened to an extent. In other ways, the division has grown worse.
Our Offenses Don’t Belong in Heaven’s Throne Room
We have carried our offenses with each other into the throne room of God and continued to offer our sacrifices upon the altar but our offenses are hindering us from the full intimacy and power Jesus longs for us to experience in Him. I hear the Holy Spirit saying, “I’m asking you to forgive. I’m asking you to let it go (talking about the offense). I’m asking you to go to those who hurt you and forgive them. I’m asking you to go to those you hurt and ask for forgiveness.”
Jesus says in John 13:35, “By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another.”
We need to take examples from the believing Jews and Gentiles in the New Testament. Jesus does not expect us to agree on everything but He does expect us to walk in unity and love through the Holy Spirit.
This truth should humble us:
“But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8).
This commission should unite us:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15).
When we choose to divide over non-essential beliefs, we exalt our perspective above the perspective of Jesus. When the world sees that we can disagree and still love each other, then they will know that God is in our midst.
Ephesians 4:2-3 (NIV) says, “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace.”
We should not be throwing punches but instead take hands with those next to us. Our offenses have opened us up to attack. God is calling us to unite against the kingdom of darkness. We should not be looking for a fight in the kingdom of light.
Troy Black
Author & Speaker
Dear Troy,
I really appreciate you sharing God’s call for unity among the denominations of God’s church. My father’s family were Pentecostal believers, and the Holy Spirit has always been a part of my life. However, I was raised and baptized (at 19) in the Baptist church. It’s a long story, but my wife and I struggled with infertility for 19 years until we adopted 2 daughters. During our struggle, we converted to Catholicism. Then, during COVID19 I had open heart surgery.
After this shaking, the Holy Spirit began speaking powerfully to me through dreams about the end of the age. After watching Johnathan Cahn’s “The Return” event in Washington DC, the Spirit led me to write a book about the conversion of the Jewish people, the third temple, and how the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy. God showed me how to untangle the prophetic knots of (1) the Olivet Discourse, (2) Daniel, and (3) the book of Revelation. I wrote books on the first two and am currently working on the third. These books are an ecumenical eschatology and a warning to prepare (like Joseph in Egypt) for 7 bad years.
I am 57 years old. My wife and I celebrated 32 years of marriage and our two daughters both turned 13 this past September. I have no idea why God is telling me anything. I only know that I love Jesus. I love God’s word. And I have to do what God says and walk on the waters of faith. I am an old man having dreams and you are a young man having visions. God is on the move. Amen! I enjoy your videos and I believe that God is truly speaking to you about things that are to come. Thank you for your evangelism and for doing your best to obey our God.
Although my self published books are currently available on Amazon, I am looking for a partner in faith that I can trust. I need a partner who cares about prophecy, who loves the Word of God, and who fears and loves God. I am hoping that partner is you. I see that you have started a publishing company, Inspire Christian Books. It appears to be new and I am having difficulty finding information about it. How can I find out more about this?
Reaching out in faith, with prayers & blessings

PS. My books are: “The Prophecy Key: Enduring Tribulation and Truth No One Will Tell You,” and “The Prophecy Key II: The Mysteries of Daniel and the Kingdom of the Stone.” The title of my third book is under construction, but is very tentatively titled, “The Prophecy Key III: The Ride of the Fourth Horseman and the Return of Jesus.”
